A visit to Zoo Negara

Must admit that we didn't really think too much about this zoo, especially after seeing the very well run Australia Zoo a.k.a Steve Irwin's Zoo. Some may say because they have more money or because they're bigger... blah blah blah... I think it is more likely because they have a better idea of how to run a successful zoo business (they charge a hefty 58 Aus dollar per person, some better deal if you're a family with 3 kids)

Never mind the Aussie zoo, few satisfying pictures were taken after most of the mosquitoes got their feed (me being their breakfast, shorts are not a good choice here) Unless you have good lenses for your camera (mine only came with a standard 18mm-55mm) most of the animals are going to look blurry, which is a disappointment.

Some of the things I managed to get up close to were the painted storks, there's like hundreds of them, and they make some good pictures. enjoy...

* don't quite understand this particular stork that stood there all day

* it may be beautiful but it may peck if you get to close

It was at this point that my camera's battery quit on me. Oh well, that's life.
